About Enjay
Ninang J, affectionately known as Enjay (as her millennial nephews and nieces like to call her), is a grandmother who loves to read, write, and get delightfully tangled in the challenges of digital technology. She enjoys exploring what she fondly calls “new tech”, even if, by the time she discovers it, it’s already old news.
As a senior navigating the digital world, Enjay approaches technology with curiosity, courage, and humor. She isn’t afraid to experiment with AI and other tools, always eager to learn, adapt, and share her discoveries.
Enjay also believes in using technology ethically. On her website, she shares her thoughts and guidelines on responsible AI use, offering insights for fellow senior writers, beginners, and professional contributors to Ninang J at Word House.
Whether you’re here to read her reflections, explore her experiments in writing and technology, or join her community of writers, welcome to her blogs—where age, curiosity, and creativity come together in the ever-evolving digital world.

On Everything Digital by Enjay
After her morning prayers, a brisk walk, and a coffee with an egg sandwich, Enjay dedicates her time to learning how to showcase oneself online. She encourages seniors to document their lives, share their stories, and leave a digital legacy. Though she worries a little about being erased herself, she hopes other seniors will step into the online world with curiosity and confidence, embracing technology not as a barrier, but as a tool to preserve and celebrate their experiences.
On Everything Other Than Digital
Enjay blogs her reflections on individuality, purpose, and legacy, content she hopes seniors will read and consider. She doesn’t assume seniors are avid readers (many struggle with tired eyes) or eager for stories about others (who needs extra drama?). What captivates her instead is legacy: thinking about the young: what they might learn, how they might grow, and how one generation’s wisdom can quietly shape theirs. She encourages seniors to pause, reflect, and document their legacy in writing, considering what they choose to pass on to the next generation.
The Pages She Writes
Enjay writes and writes and writes, even knowing only a few may stop by her page. She edits, translates, and plays with words for the love of it, sharing thoughts with other seniors who’ve been there, done that, offering something to listen to, not lecture them on what they already know. She believes seniors could use one more space to share, polish, and preserve their stories. Though officially retired, Enjay still works freelance, a paradox she enjoys, managing the web pages below.
